INTRODUCTION: Rum is a distilled beverage, the Abv of Rum is 36 – 55%. It is every Indian’s first favorite drink. After whiskey, it is also a favorite and popular drink in India. Old monk is the most renowned rum brand in India.
HISTORY AND INVENTION:- In 1650 it was started as a captivated drink in the west indies.
Before 1620 people drink spirits for medicinal purposes but when rum came people drink this for pleasure. The Caribbean has the largest rum distillery it produces 1000,000 liters per day. In the 18th century, rum became very popular when it is used as currency when sailors received rum for payment.
TYPES,SMELL,TASTE,APPEARENCE:-
The taste of rum is Sweet, dry,caremel and it smells like it has a gourmand ingredient for perfume, so it smells syrupy and bold which makes it drinkable. Its appearance is clear, black, red, golden, etc. Some brands also make white rum.

CONCLUSION:- It is Distilled alcoholic beverage.it is made with sugarcane molasses, yeast, water, sugarcane juice. Rum is the first alcohol that is made for nonmedicinal purposes. Each year 2nd Saturday of July is celebrated as world rum day. In 1800 women used this for nourishment liquid and for controlling hair fall.
